
Maha Siddiqui is Director, Policy and Strategy for Canada at the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum, bringing more than two decades of experience in journalism and public policy analysis driven by a commitment to propel change for good. As a consultant for the Global Green Growth Institute while at the University of British Columbia, she led a multi-phase project on clean heating in Mongolia, mapping sustainable energy pathways with local and international stakeholders. She has contributed to nuclear energy policy research on Small Modular Reactors and produced action-oriented immigration reports with the Government of British Columbia's Immigration Policy and Integration Branch. A respected journalist and former senior foreign affairs editor, she moved from national politics and Parliament to global summits and conflict zones. At NDTV 24x7 she launched the international news program India Global; at CNN News18 she anchored prime-time shows including World 360. Her reporting has covered the humanitarian crisis from the war in Ukraine and major geopolitical moments including the Trump-Putin summit in Alaska, the G7 in Kananaskis, the Quad summit in Washington, the G20 in Bali, the SCO Summit in Samarkand, and India's relationships with China and Pakistan. For over a decade she anchored and reported on Parliamentary proceedings, three general elections, and multiple state elections across India, interviewing global leaders, heads of state, foreign ministers, and Indian lawmakers across the political spectrum. She holds a Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs from UBC, a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Botany from Miranda House, Delhi University. She is a Chevening Scholar (Bournemouth University, UK) and an International Visitors Leadership Program alumna (US).
